Watercolors

I've been crushing on watercolor art recently.  I don't think I really used watercolors after grade school and never really appreciated how beautiful the flowing colors appear on nice watercolor paper.  Lucky for me, Mr. CP has a set of nice watercolors and a pad of heavyweight watercolor paper.  I've been working with it on and off for a few months now...learning how to do washes and how to control different types of brush strokes and amounts of water.  Baby CP also enjoys using the paints, so we often practice together.  It's a great Saturday afternoon activity.

I've added a few watercolor A2 size notecards and smaller gift cards to the shop and I am thinking about adding post cards and larger folding cards sometime in the next couple months.

Big Love on Valentine's Day

There is something about Valentine's Day that inspires me to design something cute with a hand drawn look.  I drew the elephant with a Riso carbon pen and flashed the screen directly from that image without having to scan it in and print it out on my laser printer.  The white Gocco ink showed up nicely on the kraft cardstock and to add some color, I hand painted red and metallic gold watercolor to fill in the hearts....so there you have it...our first mixed media card.
Big Love

I only had 20 kraft folded cards on hand, so was only able to print a very small batch and they've already out of stock.  I am expecting a new shipment of paper today, so please send me a message on etsy if you are interestedbefore February 6.  Otherwise, I might wait until next year to print another batch before Valentine's Day.

Gold Foil Stickers

For the Holiday 2014, I created these lovely gold foil stickers and cut them on my Silhouette Cameo.  I designed the shapes and layout on the Silhouette Studio software which came with my Cameo and used the Cameo to cut the stickers out of sicker paper using a method called kisscutting.
Christmas Trees - sold out until next year.
Cloud Stickers

Whale Stickers in 2 sizes

Airplane Stickers

Rubber Duckie Stickers - will be posted to Etsy soon!

Seahorse Stickers

Pineapple Stickers

Daschund Stickers
Dolphin Stickers
It's been a lot of fun.  The Christmas trees were very popular at Christmas time and the Pineapple stickers are doing super well on our Etsy shop.  I'm always thinking of additional shapes to add, so stay tuned!

I purchased the Cameo before Halloween and I used it to cut out pumpkin and other fall decorations as well as Christmas decorations for Baby CP's classroom.  It's also been great for designing and cutting out stickers shaped like ribbons for the sticker packaging, which you can see in some of the photos above.

Holiday Season 2014

This year, I did what I usually plan, but fail, to do, which is get ready for the holiday season a full two months in advance.  First, I started working on my new holiday card offerings and then I attempted to take some photos that would do them some justice!

Happy Holidays from San Francisco
Merry and Bright
I also signed up in advance for a pop up show at Rickshaw Bagworks which is taking place this Saturday, November 15.  They do the pop ups once a month and I figured it's a show that close to the holidays but not so late that people would have already sent out their holiday cards.  I'll be at Rickshaw Bagworks at 904 22nd St San Francisco, CA from 11am-3pm this Saturday, so stop by!

I ordered a free Etsy reader, so that I can accept non cash payments at the show.  It will also come in handy if I run out of any inventory and need to take orders that I can ship to customers once I've finished printing items just for them.  I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm excited!

I've also been working on some pretty gold foil stickers/labels that I'll be showing for the first time at the pop up show.  With my handy Silhouette Cameo, I can cut stickers into any shape I want - such as Christmas trees, gingerbread men, whales, airplanes, clouds.  I'll get photographs of those take slowly thereafter, but gold may be a little challenging to photograph.  This is an example of the ribbon label packaging that I designed, printed and then cut on the Silhouette Cameo for my Love from San Francisco labels.

Sending Love from SF, NYC, LA or San Diego

It started with NYC and then SF because I've had great memories in both places....but then it spread to LA and San Diego where we have family.  These four cities kick off our Sending Love label series.  We'll add more cities later and of course I'm happy to work with you on custom city labels!
